Mini-Musicians Music Class
This class is designed for preschoolers ages 0-5 with a parent or guardian. Participate with your young child in singing, moving and playing instruments in this lively, musical class. Each class will incorporate songs, rhymes, lullabies, floor and lap games along with puppets, crafts, instruments, and props to develop children’s innate response to music, encouraging imagination and focus.
Older children will be encouraged to sing and dance, improving pitch-matching and language skills along with developing their sense of musical timing, rhythm, and self-confidence. Babies and toddlers will benefit by watching and listening to stimulate their natural responses to rhythm and music while they bond with their caretaker and strengthen early neuro-developmental pathways.
Mini Musicians classes are led by Northeast Iowa School of Music instructor Rebecca Lansing.
Classes are 45 minutes in length and generally held on Tuesdays at 9:30am or 4:45pm. Registration is requested, as class sizes are limited. Cost is $12 per family.
