PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLES
Northeast Iowa School of Music offers a number of different performance ensembles that are available to people of all abilities. These groups encompass all instruments and a variety of different musical styles. Each group rehearses weekly and hold at least one performance a term.

New Horizons Band
New Horizons Band is a non-auditioned performance ensemble for adults age 50 and over. Members get to be part of a band, play favorite melodies with exciting band arrangements, meet new people who share a love of music, and have a weekly outing that promotes good health, relaxation, and fun!
Registration is $30 for both Fall and Spring.
Rehearsals begin September 7
Where: St. Joseph’s Chapel, Hoffman Hall, Loras College
When: Thursdays, 4:45-5:45

HEARTLAND HARMONY
Heartland Harmony was founded in January, 2019, with the mission of women supporting and empowering other women while creating beautiful harmony. The complex, sweet, and uplifting music we create is then shared with the community in performances throughout the year. These performances bring joy to the audience and support to community organizations who minister to women in need.
Registration is $30 for both Fall and Spring.
Rehearsals begin September 5
Where: Luther Manor Clubhouse, Asbury, Iowa
When: Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00 PM

Dubuque Community String Orchestra
This non-auditioned ensemble is for adults of any age who play a string instrument.
Rehearsals begin September 11
Registration is $30 per semester
Where: Straatmeyer Hall, University of Dubuque Heritage Center
When: Mondays, 6:45-7:45
